Districtwide Great California ShakeOut Drill – Thursday, October 22
Posted Date: 10/21/26 (04:30 PM)
Dear BVUSD Families,
On Thursday, October 22, at 10:22 a.m., all Bear Valley Unified School District schools will participate in the Great California ShakeOut, a statewide earthquake preparedness exercise.
This will be a full-scale emergency drill, allowing our students and staff to practice important safety procedures, including earthquake response, evacuation, and emergency communication. As part of the exercise, first responders and emergency vehicles may be present at our school sites. Please know that this is a planned drill and not an actual emergency.
The drill will take place pending weather conditions.
The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to ensure our schools are prepared for emergencies.
Manny Marquez
Superintendent of Schools
